The drop test torso is designed to evaluate the effectiveness of personal protective equipment against falls from height. It can also be used for static harness testing.
It is constructed from varnished, laminated hardwood and contains lead weights and metal fixings. The dimensions conform to the specifications in EN 364 and the torso has a mass of 100kg. There is a lifting ring at the top and the bottom of the torso and everything is carefully positioned to ensure that the centre of gravity conforms to the requirements of the standard.
